big_bad_bunnyBig Bad Bunny is tired of being treated like a baby.  Instead of being Baby Boo-Boo, she runs away to become Big Bad Bunny.  She travels through puddles and vines, until she reaches an insurmountable obstacle: a huge hill! She suddenly becomes frightened and wants the one person she ran away from – her mom.

Big Bad Bunny is a heart-warming tale of a little mouse who feels like she doesn’t receive any respect.  To compensate for her littleness, she turns into Big Bad Bunny who is not afraid of anything or anyone.  This book is wonderful for little ones who do not think they are so little.  The sing-song lyrics and the heart-warming tale of a mother trying to find her baby is engrossing.  There are tons of sound words, like scritch and roar, for little readers to act out as they follow along with their parents.

Although, Big Bad Bunny is little; she feels big on the inside and believes that she can do anything!  She is so big that she is above taking a nap.  My little girl is constantly telling me, “I do it myself” or “I not tired!” These messages resound in The Big Bad Bunny, so it is no surprise that she loves this book. The wonderful sounds and loving message will engross any young one as they read this book again and again.  I also really liked reading this book because it is short, entertaining and I love the message: that when you need mom the most, mom always comes through without making you feel like you are little.
