Booking Through Thursday Task: “So here today I present to you an Unread Books Challenge. Give me the list or take a picture of all the books you have stacked on your bedside table, hidden under the bed or standing in your shelf – the books you have not read, but keep meaning to. The books that begin to weigh on your mind. The books that make you cover your ears in conversation and say, ‘No! Don’t give me another book to read! I can’t finish the ones I have!’“
I have only 19 books on my to-read list. I am sure in comparison to many bloggers out there, my list is very short. However, I quickly become distracted and often when I go to the bookstore, I will purchase a book that is not on my to-read list. For example, I picked up Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris and I am now reading it even though it was nowhere near my to-read list. I picked up this book at the grocery store of all places. Guess I had a craving for some vampire thrillers with my Cherry Garcia. As for my to-read list, I have not bought all of these books…yet, so there is no picture to take. Even though I’m very non-committal, I do have this list as a back-up for when I can’t find some random read at the grocery store. What’s nice about reading other book blogs is that they have opened up my reading interests. there are books that others bloggers have recommended, which I have never even heard of, that will make their way to my to-read pile. So, very slowly my mind is expanding to other genres, as well as my to-read pile.

My hubby wishes I only had 19 books on my TBR pile. I think I have that many on my kitchen counter!
I just looked at your bookshelves and OMG!! I’ve never seen so many unread books; it is almost like having a book store in your house. Gook luck digging through that pile
