The Answer to Why

quotable_big

When life doesn’t seem to go our way, at some point in our lives, the inevitable question appears: Why? Many times we ask that question to God and we usually expect a grandiose answer in return. Sometimes the answer is loud and clear, sometimes not so much and other times, do we really want the answer? Here’s Stephen King’s answer to that question in a quote from Storm of the Century.

When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, “Why god? Why me?” and the thundering voice of God answered, There’s just something about you that pisses me off.

Traci, what beutiful and loving thoughts you have of the boys.

I have watched their growth over the years through Gloria, who is my friend and cleaner. We have had so many laughs and thoughts over the years as we watched those three young men grow.

Your poem is wonderful and I am sure the boys will cherish it over the years
