My name is Tracie. I live in Southern Minnesota with my husband, triplet bonus sons, two cats, a daughter, and a dog.  We would have more animals, but my husband has protested and gone to great lengths to prevent me from keeping any stray animals I find on the side of the road.  As for the kids, I haven’t picked up any of those on the side of the road yet, so no marital issues there.

I work full time for an e-commerce company.  Before this company (which shall remain nameless),  I worked for a marketing firm (which shall also remain nameless).  Before that I was in college, trying to justify to my mother why I was majoring in English and how I was going to pay my bills.  Obviously, it hasn’t exactly panned out that way, but I will never admit to mother (to her face, anyway) why having health insurance and a nice place to live surpassed my need to live-in-squalor-for-my-art kind of life.

Through it all, I’ve kept my love of reading alive and well.  Okay, sometimes it has gone on a bit of a hiatus (read here: post college meltdown and non-sleeping baby crisis), but I always come back to books.  They were my salvation when I was having problems at school and kept me busy when all the other kids were getting into trouble.  At the end of the day, the silence of reading a good book is definitely worthwhile and keeps me sane.  I don’t know of many activities in life that require you to just be still.
